Molly Connell Tidwell

Molly Connell Tidwell, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away on June 25, 2026, at the age of 85.

Born on September 25, 1940, Molly was the daughter of the late Virginia Wyndham Connell and Jack Grimes Connell. She was a woman who cherished nature deeply and found her greatest happiness in the woods of rural Greene County, Alabama.

Molly is survived by her siblings, Jack Connell (Peggy) and Mike Connell.

She is lovingly remembered by her three daughters, Michele Hunter (Ross), Jill Cain (Lyle), and Christina Grissett (Russell).

Molly was a proud grandmother to Harrison Hunter, Wyndham Hunter, Katherine Hunter, Sarah Cain Humphrey (Robert), Virginia Cain Sparks (Lawton), Edward Cain, George Cain, Bankston Grissett, Emma Grissett, and Kate Grissett. Her family continued to grow with the arrival of her great-grandchildren, Robert Lawrence Humphrey IV and Camille Warren Sparks, who brought her immeasurable joy.

While her animals were the center of Molly’s life, she also took great pride in watching her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren grow and create lives of their own.

Molly will be remembered for her inquisitive mind, and the deep knowledge she passed on to each of her family members. Her legacy lives on in her children and grandchildren, and in the love that continues through each generation of her family.

Though she will be deeply missed, Molly’s memory will forever remain a cherished part of the lives of those who loved her.
