Michael Winnett

Michael “Derrick” Winnett, age 67 of Cleveland, AL went home to be with the Lord on March 30, 2022.  He is survived by his wife Pamela Winnett, son Joshua Winnett (Sachi), step children April Washburn (Joseph), Maghan Simpson (Alex), Dustin Loggins, mother Carline Devenyns, sister Cheryl Ellis (Daryl), brothers Brad Winnett (Sheri), Glenn Winnett, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.  He is preceded in death by his father James R. Winnett and step father Howard Devenyns.  Derrick was born on June 2, 1954 and served in the U.S. Navy for 8 years before returning to his home in Birmingham, AL.  He retired as a Software Engineer from Ebsco Industries, Inc. in June 2020 after many years of employment there.  He will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him.
