Michael Alan Morton, of Trussville, Alabama, was born on August 11, 1970, and peacefully entered his eternal home on June 6, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family.

He courageously battled Multiple System Atrophy - Cerebellar Type (MSA-C), a devastating disease with no known cure. Throughout his journey, he faced every challenge with remarkable strength, unwavering determination, and the sense of humor that everyone who knew him cherished. He refused to let his illness define him or diminish his spirit, inspiring those around him with his resilience and grace.

In bis younger years, Michael had a passion for BMX riding, where he earned the nickname "Mr. Smooth" for his effortless style and skill. He carried that same easygoing nature throughout his life. Michael never met a stranger, and his generous heart made him a loyal friend to many. Whether someone needed a helping hand, a listening ear, or simply a reason to smile, Michael was always willing to give of himself without hesitation.

Above all, his greatest joy was his family. He was a devoted father to his son,

Corey Morton (Bianca), and his daughter, Katie Shields (Cody). He was a proud and loving "Grandpa" to his two grandsons, Colton and Caden Shields, who brought immeasurable happiness to his life.

Michael was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Linda Morton. He is lovingly remembered by his father, Phillip Morton; his brother,JeffMorton (Kimberly); his sister, Terri Clifton (Billy); along with several nieces, nephews, extended family members, and countless friends whose lives were forever touched by his kindness and friendship.

Although our hearts are broken by his passing, we find comfort in knowing that Michael is now in the presence of the Lord, completely healed, free from pain, and at perfect peace. His laughter, compassion, and unwavering love for those around him will continue to live on in the hearts of everyone blessed to know him.

Michael is deeply loved, forever missed and never forgotten.

A Celebration of Life honoring him will be held on Saturday, August 15, at Jefferson Memorial Trussville. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.1n., followed by the service at 2:00 p.m.

Family and friends are invited to gather to celebrate Michael's life by sharing cherished memories, laughter, and the love he so generously gave to everyone who knew him.
