Mary Sue Allen

Mary Sue Allen, age 81, of Birmingham, AL passed away on July 2, 2021. She was a long-time member of Glen Iris Baptist Church of Birmingham. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Otha Wayne Allen, of 44 years; one grandson, Morris Ford Mann, IV, and a brother, Calvin Williams. Mary is survived by her children, Vickie Reynolds, Jackie Allen (Cherri), James “Jimmy” Allen, and Monica Strickland (John); eight grandchildren, twenty-three great grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren; three sisters and one brother; a host of nieces and nephews. The funeral for Mary will be held on Thursday, July 8, 2021 at Jefferson Memorial Chapel at 12:00 noon. Family and friends will gather one-hour prior to the service. Burial will immediately follow the chapel service at Jefferson Memorial’s adjoining cemetery. Brother Lamb will be presiding over the services.
