Mary West

Mary "Joyce" West, age 79, of Birmingham passed away November 8, 2013. She was a day care teacher for East Lake United Methodist and a member of Parkway Christian Church. Mrs. West was preceded in death by her parents, Leadonia and Alvin Pettus. Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Robert L. West; daughter, Jilda West Stephenson (Mark); granddaughter, Malea Shay O'Dell; God daughter, Karen Wyatt; great grandson, Colton; and her brother, Hershel Pettus (Tina Pettus). Visitation will be Monday, November 11th from 11-12:00 PM at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home. The service will begin at 12:00 noon in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Jerald Wilson officiating followed by the burial at Jefferson Memorial Gardens East.
