Mary Morris

MARY NELL MORRIS, age 87 of Birmingham died Sunday, June 29, 2014 at her home. Preceded in Death by her father and mother; Lewis M & Laverne White; her husband , Grady E. Morris; three grandsons, Douglas W. Morris, Rickey J. Morris, David W. Morris; two brothers: Thomas White and L.M. White. Mrs. Morris was born in Gadsden, Al where she met & married her husband, Grady, with whom she had a wonderful marriage. . Mrs. Morris was actively involved with her husband & oldest sons business, Creative Pools, for many years. She was also an active and vital member of Ruffner Valley Baptist Church. Funeral services will be 11:00 am Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at Jefferson Memorial Chapel in Trussville. The family will receive friends from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Jefferson Memorial Gardens with Jefferson Memorial east directing the services. Mrs. Morris is survived by two sons: James E. (Carloyn) Morris and Larry W.(Vanessa) Morris ; two grandchildren, Wendy M. (Charles) Kelly and Rodney J. (Heather) Morris; one great grandchild: Hadley Morris ; two sisters: Muriel (Donald) Browning and Gail Chadwell ; one brother, Bobby G. (Charlotte) White; a host of nephews, nieces and other family members. The family would like to express their great appreciation for her two wonderful caregivers, Veronica Ward & Diane Samples. It was thru these ladies tremendous love & care that Mrs. Morris was able to endure the final years of her life on this earth.
