Mary Lou Kirk

December 13, 1932 — May 30, 2026

Mary Lou Kirk, age 93, passed away peacefully on May 30, surrounded by the love of her family. Born on December 13, 1932, to Isaac V. and Beatrice Smith, Mary Lou lived a life filled with faith, love, creativity, and devotion to her family. At 93, she was called home to be with her Lord and Savior.

Mary Lou was preceded in death by her parents, Isaac V. and Beatrice Smith; her brother, Gary; her beloved husband, Guy Kirk Jr.; and many other cherished family members and friends.

She leaves behind a loving family who will forever treasure her memory: her children, Guy Kirk III (Kim), Cindy (Gary), and Brian; her grandchildren, Brandy (Chris), Guy Kirk IV (Stephanie), Zac, Kayla, Laura (Kyle), and Paul (Shiloh); and her great-grandchildren, Alyssa, Guy Kirk V, Joshua, Levi, Axel, Xander, Emory, Matthew, and Everleigh.

A woman of many talents, Mary Lou found her greatest joy in spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Whether sewing, embroidering, making jewelry, conducting science experiments, gardening, painting, cooking, or simply drawing and coloring together, she always made sure she had everything needed to create special memories and meaningful moments with those she loved. Her patience, creativity, and enthusiasm left a lasting impression on every child fortunate enough to spend time by her side.

Mary Lou also had a deep love for nature and found great happiness tending her plants. Her beautiful azaleas, rose bushes, and magnolia were a source of pride, and she delighted in feeding and watching hummingbirds from her yard.

Her legacy of faith, kindness, creativity, and unconditional love will continue to live on through the many lives she touched. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
