Mary Ann Wilson Davis went to be with her Heavenly Father on June 14, 2025.
Mary Ann loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She was as a longtime member of Centercrest Baptist Church until she returned to home to her childhood church, First Baptist Church Pinson. She selflessly served as an active member in many church ministries.
Mary Ann lived a devoted 53 years to her husband, Danny Davis. Together they enjoyed many travel adventures. Nature called and they answered with trips both abroad and nearby.
Mary Ann wholeheartedly loved her family with fierce ardor and dedication. Travelling was not reserved only for Danny, as Mary Ann experienced countless vacations with family. Holidays with family were merry and filled with love, laughter, traditions, food, and of course competitive games. Mary Ann's grandchildren were her pride and joy. She and Danny travelled miles to watch their grandchildren participate in activities they loved such as baseball, horseback riding, playing music, and dance competitions. Being actively present with family was Mary Ann's top priority.
Nothing could stop Mary Ann from caring for those she loved. As promised to her father, John C. Wilson, Mary Ann tirelessly cared for her mother, Betty Graham Wilson. Mary Ann was the epitome of honoring your father and mother. Because of her devotion to loving and caring for her mother, Mary Ann's grandchildren had the honor of knowing their great-grandmother. There was no mountain too high to stop Mary Ann from protecting and tending to the needs of her loved ones. Sacrificial love was one of Mary Ann's most honorable traits.
Serving others was Mary Ann's calling. The Lord gifted her with the courage and conviction to care for those in need. For 42 years, Mary Ann (R.N., C., B.S.N., M.S.N) served her community in the field of nursing. She began her career at Children's Hospital in Birmingham. Later, Mary Ann served at Carraway Hospital in the capacity of both nurse and clinical educator. Mary Ann ended her career at St. Vincent's Health System as a clinical educator. She was well respected in her profession, receiving many acknowledgements, such as recognition as an Ida V. Moffett School of Nursing Courage to Care Award Recipient from Samford University. She blessed many patients and medical professionals by sharing her expertise and skills.
Mary Ann is proceeded in death by her parents, John and Betty Wilson.
