Marvin Waters

Mr. Marvin A. "Buddy" Waters, age 83, of Hoover, passed away on March 3, 2015. He was a former member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church and First Baptist of Mt. Olive. He was an active member of the Shepard's Center of Bluff Park Methodist Church. He was a devoted father and grandfather who loved spending time with his family. Buddy was preceded in death by his parents, Lee and Edna Waters; his wife Betty W. Waters; two sisters; and his son-in-law, Perry Glover. He is survived by his daughters, Stacy Pendley (Greg), and Betty Glover; his son, David Waters (Angela); his grandchildren, Haley Pendley, Jacob Pendley, Bailey Waters, and Matthew Steele; and many other friends and family members. The family would like to offer a special thanks to Connie and David Scarbrough and Amedisys Hospice for their devoted love and care. A visitation will be held on Friday, March 6, 2015 from 6-8pm. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2015 at 10:00am at Jefferson Memorial Trussville, with Bro. Doug Moore officiating. Interment will follow at Jefferson Memorial Gardens East.
