Marianne Whited

Marianne Roberts Whited, age 81, of Birmingham, AL., died on Saturday May 1, 2010. She now rests peacefully in the presence of her Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. "And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus... " Ephesians 2:6. Preceded her in death were: husband, Major Walter Coy Whited, USAF (ret); parents, James Allen and Mittie Magdalene Huey Roberts; brother James Roberts; sister Dot (Robert) Beall; and sister Margie (M.C.) Fisher. Survivors who mourn, yet celebrate, her passing are: son, Wayne (Becky) Whited, daughter Gale (Mike) Patton; son, Walter (Johnnie) Whited; grandsons Brian Whited, Brandon Whited, and Brett Whited; and sister-in-law, Gloria (James, deceased) Roberts. Graveside services will be on Tuesday May 4, at 1pm with burial in Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery in Hueytown. Pastor Jerre Rhoades of Clearbranch United Methodist Church will officiate. Pallbearers are Walter Whited, Wayne Whited, Brian Whited, Brandon Whited, Brett Whited, Sam Carlin and Mike Patton. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in her name be made to Clearbranch United Methodist Church, 8051 Glenn Road, Trussville AL 35173 (205-655-9414).
