Margaret Ann Choat

Margaret Ann (Morgan) Choat, age 94, passed away on Thursday, May 7, 2026. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 58 years, Jack Choat.

Margaret Ann retired from Motion Industries after many years of service and had also been employed by Alabama Power.

She leaves behind her sons, Buddy(Ginny) and Dennis. Affectionately known as Meme to her five grandchildren, Katie Thompson(Brandon), Will Choat(Morgan),Molly Flournoy(Layne),Jack and Aiden Choat and her 7 great grandchildren, Brice and Cooper Thompson, Carter, Sam and Whit Choat, Ellis and Beau Flournoy.

Margaret Ann was a member of Trussville First Methodist Church and previously at Huffman Methodist Church.

The family will have visitation Thursday, May 21 at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home from 11 to 12 o’clock. There will be a family graveside service immediately following the visitation.
