Major Sosebee

Major R. Sosebee, age 92, of Gardendale, passed away on August 31. He was a graduate of West End High School, a US Navy veteran, and was retired from L&N/CSX Railroad. He was preceded in death by his "Sweetie", Kathleen; and his grandson, Jeremy Gilliland. He is survived by his loving children, Susie Gilliland, Michael R. Sosebee (Rebecca), Larry Sosebee (Cindy); his grandchildren, Jeff Gilliland (Crystal), David Sosebee, Aaron Sosebee (Lauren), Kathy Swanson, Major Sosebee (Meagan), Chris Sosebee; 12 great grandchildren; and 3 great great grandchildren. A graveside service will be held at 1pm on Tuesday, September 3, at Jefferson Memorial Gardens in Trussville. A visitation will begin one hour prior to the service.
