Lynn Edward "Ed"Hawkins

Lynn Edward "Ed" Hawkins age 73, passed away on August 12, 2025. Ed was a 27 year veteran of the US Air Force and was with the 117th. He retired from UAB after 30 years. Mr. Hawkins was preceded in death by his parents James and Norma Hawkins; aunt, Mattie Frances Hughey; mother-in-law, Judy Townsend; brother-in-law, Tracy Townsend.

Ed is survived by his wife Kathy Hawkins; father-in-law, Tracy Townsend; cousin, Brian (Marisa) Hughey, MD and many friends. Ed loved to be in the outdoors and music. He loved good food also and always knew the best restaurants to go to where ever he traveled.
