Lillian "Jean" Salmon

March 16, 1944 — November 25, 2025

Lillian Jean Salmon, lovingly known as Jean, passed peacefully from this life into the arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on November 25, 2025, at the age of 81.

Jean is survived by her devoted husband of 63 years, James Buford Salmon; her daughter, Rhonda Haley; her grandchildren, Ashley Entrekin, Josh Seale, Tiffany Mathews, Jesse and Kayla Weems, and Anthony Salmon; and her great-grandchildren, James Weems, Cassie Weems, Connor Roberts, Caleb Roberts, Levi Entrekin, Emerie Mathews, and Alyssa Seale. She is also survived by her beloved dog, Alice, who was a faithful and constant companion. Each of them was a special joy in her life, and she was deeply proud of the family she and Buford built together.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Rubin and Lillian Flynn; her daughter, Lisa Weems; and her granddaughter, Brittney Seale. Jean spoke often of those who had gone before her, holding their memories close to her heart and finding comfort in her faith that she would see them again.

Jean’s faith in Jesus Christ shaped every part of her life. She loved her Lord and Savior and tried to live with kindness, grace, and quiet strength. She was also a generous philanthropist and a faithful supporter of local, national, and international ministries—especially those serving children, the homeless, and animals. Above all, her heart was devoted to sharing and spreading the gospel of Jesus, that others might know the hope she carried.

She found joy in many simple pleasures, especially settling in to watch a good movie—witty, clever films that made her laugh and think were always her favorite.

In her later years, she was blessed with the loving care of Wendy, Amy, Tina, Debra, and Karen whose compassion and tenderness brought comfort not only to Jean, but to Buford as well.

Jean will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, whose gentle spirit, warm smile, and steadfast faith touched all who knew her. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of her family and friends, in the ministries she supported, and in the many lives made better by her love.
