Leo Russo Sr.

Leo Anthony Russo Sr. passed away on April 30, 2024, at the age of 92 in his hometown of Trussville, Alabama. He was born October 28, 1931 in Birmingham, Alabama to Marie and Joe Russo. Leo was known as a hard worker and for many years worked at multiple grocery stores including Liberty Supermarket, Food World, and Bruno's. 

He is survived by his beloved wife, Mary, of 72 years. He was preceded in death by his brother, Joe Jr. Russo and and is also survived by his brother, Sam Russo, and sister, Mary Russo. He was the proud father of six children, Nancy, Jo Ann, Sammy, Sandra, Leo, and Tommy. He was known as Paw Paw to 13 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild. 

His favorite days were spent watching westerns, eating home cooked meals, and being surrounded by his friends and family.
