Leland Parkins

Leland Elward Parkins, age 85, of Gardendale, AL passed away on July 30, 2012. Leland was a loving husband and father. He was a member of Huffman Baptist Church and retired as a Structural Steel Draftsman. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Patricia Parkins. Leland is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Myra G. Parkins; daughter, Linda Parks; sons, Larry Parkins (Merry) and Bill Parkins (Donna); grandchildren, Donya, Teri, Amanda, Ashley, Daniel, Amy, and Krista; and 8 great grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 2, 2012 from 5-7pm at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held on August 3, 2012 at 2:00pm at Jefferson Memorial Gardens East.
