Lela Goolsby

Lela J. Goolsby, age 75, of Moody, AL passed away at her home surrounded by her loving family on February 12, 2022.
Lela was a devoted Christian and loving wife and mother. She was a respiratory therapist for UAB Highlands for 48 years.
She is survived by her son, Edward Goolsby; bonus daughter, Michelle Kapoor; sister, Nena Hester; brother, Frank Lamb; five grandchildren, Nicholas Britton (LeAnna), Kayla Goolsby Pavino (Nicholas), Michael Goolsby, Karishma Kapoor, and Gracey Kapoor; great granddaughter, Ava Gayle Britton; a niece, Louise Baker.
The visitation for Lela will be held at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home on Friday, February 18, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. The service for Lela will be held at Jefferson Memorial Chapel on Saturday, February 19th at 2:00 p.m. Burial will immediately follow the chapel service at Jefferson Memorial’s adjoining cemetery.
