Larry Vise

Funeral Services for Mr. Larry Vise, age 87of Birmingham, will be held on Monday, June 16, 2025 at 2:00 P.M. at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the adjoining gardens.

Larry passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 8, 2025, at 12:00 AM. Born in Websters Chapel, Alabama, Larry lived a full and generous life defined by hard work, deep faith, and unwavering kindness. He was a proud graduate of Ramsay High School and Birmingham-Southern College. He honorably served in the United States Marine Corps as a young man before dedicating many years to a successful career in the Sales and Marketing field. Larry started Vanguard Manufacturing Cooperation along with a business partner growing it to become one of the top Chain Link Fence Manufacturers in the Southeast. After selling Vanguard, he moved on to become the top Sales Executive for the Expanded Metals Division for Alabama Metals Incorporated, specializing in Security Fencing products After retiring, he launched his own business, Dabble Inc., continuing his entrepreneurial spirit into his later years.

Larry was a devoted husband to Jeanne Vise, with whom he shared 66 wonderful years of marriage. Together, they built a strong and loving family, raising four children, David Vise (Ginger) and Susan Vise and the late Tim and Jeff Vise. He was a proud grandfather to Christopher, Lauren, Cody, and Kaitlyn, and a great-grandfather to Ava, Bella, and Charlie. He is also survived by his beloved brother, Rick Vise (Pam).

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Mattie Vise; his two sons, Tim and Jeff Vise; and his brother, Bob Vise.

A deeply faithful and generous man, Larry supported numerous charities throughout his life, including Disabled Veterans, American Veterans, the Special Olympics, and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. He was known for his kindness, his humility, and his constant willingness to help others in need.

His legacy of love, generosity, and compassion will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Visitation will be held on Monday, June 16, 2025 from 12:30 P.M. until service time at 2:00 P.M. at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home.
