Lafayette E. Owens, 64 of Center Point passed away on September 2, 2011. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lafayette H. and Evelyn Owens; and brother, Johnny Owens. Survivors include his special brother, Jimmy Owens; brothers, Charles Owens of Georgia, Jim Owens (Sandy) of Boaz; half brother, David Owens; Special sister, Carol Farley (Kenneth), Wanda Durrer of Oregon, Patricia Davis of Guntersville, Sarah Grubbs of Cullman, Regina Haviland (Ben) of Hoover; half sister, Janice Owens; special nephews, Matthew Owens and Kenneth Farley (Heather) of Leeds; special niece, Tammy Fuller; great nieces, Kara and Taylor Fuller and Brittney Dillard; Visitation will be held at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home beginning at 10:00 AM Thursday, September 8 with Military Graveside services at 11:00 AM in Jefferson Memorial Gardens East.
