Kathie Mahaffey

Kathie Mahaffey, age 83, passed away on February 21, 2025. She was originally from Memphis, TN. She has lived in Birmingham for 65 years. She graduated from Birmingham Southern College and was an elementary school teacher for 36 years. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Homewood. She was preceded in death by her husband Bill and her parents. She is survived by her son Jeff and daughter Jenny. Also, her sister Pam (Tom) McAuley, nieces, nephews and many friends and family. She was a joy and a delight and will be sorely missed.

Visitation will be on Feb. 25, 2025, from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Trinity United Methodist Church in Homewood. There will be a funeral service beginning at 2:00 PM at the church with burial to follow at Jefferson Memorial Gardens in Trussville. Rev. Brian Erickson and Rev. Reid Crotty will be officiating.
