Karren Nichols

Jan Nichols, age 73, of Birmingham, AL passed away on June 27, 2016. Jan graduated from Woodlawn High School; she later attended UAB and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She greatly enjoyed serving as a nurse at UAB Hospital for over 25 years. Jan loved animals and had a passion for helping others. She is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Lavon Nichols; daughter, Jamie Nichols Whitson; son, Ryan Nichols; two grandsons, Zachary and Nicholas Whitson; son-in-law Doug Whitson. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 30th at Jefferson Memorial Gardens in Trussville; a visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 29th from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home.
