Karl M. White, 77, passed away on May 28, 2026, in Birmingham, Alabama. Born on April 2, 1949, in Sylacauga, Alabama, Karl lived a life defined by dedication to his family, his country, and his passions.

Karl proudly served in the United States Marine Corps as a member of the 3rd Marine Airwing during the Vietnam War. Rising to the rank of E-5 Sergeant, his service was one of his proudest accomplishments. His commitment to his fellow Marines and his country remained steadfast throughout his life. He was an active member of the American Legion and VFW, continuing to honor those who served alongside him.

Professionally, Karl built a successful career as a safety engineer in the construction field. He retired from Entech Technologies in McKinney, Texas, where he took pride in ensuring safety and excellence in every project he oversaw. After retirement, Karl enjoyed spending time outdoors with building projects and lawn work that reflected his hands-on approach to life.

Karl’s love for sports was a lifelong passion. In his youth, he played football, ran track, and participated in baseball. As the years went on, he continued to enjoy fishing and golfing. Whether watching or participating, sports brought him joy and camaraderie. A devoted Auburn University fan, Karl’s blue pickup truck adorned with Auburn stripes was a testament to his unwavering support for the Tigers.

Known for his gruff exterior but soft heart, Karl had a true sense of humor and an ability to connect with people from all walks of life. He cherished good times with family and friends and had a knack for making others feel at ease. His love for good Scotch (J&B), Kool cigarettes, and living life on his own terms were hallmarks of his personality.

Karl is survived by his beloved wife, Sherryll Jean White; daughters Merri Beth Beasley, Sue Carol White, and Katherine "Kat" Dockery (Kyle); granddaughters Bailey Lee Rollan (Adam) and Sabrina Rose Camp; great-grandchildren Jensen Rhys Rollan, Ellorie James Rollan, and Roxie Vera Rollen; sister Gale Conlee (John); sister-in-law Pat Kroupa (Tom); as well as several nieces and nephews and their families. He was predeceased by his mother June Clifton Hinkle; father Olin Karl White; stepfather Oscar McGrady; brother Joseph Patrick White; sister Ann Goodwin; brother-in-law Bill Goodwin; and brother-in-law Bob Peacock.
