Karen Deanne "Cookie" Meeks

Karen Deanne" Cookie" Meeks, age 58, passed away on July 27, 2025. Karen worked at Shelby Baptist Medical Center for over 30 years. Karen was always a creative person and known for her giving heart towards others. Karen was a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Pinson. She loved her pool and spending time with her family meant the most to her. She was preceded in death by her father John Meeks.

Cookie is survived by her mother Diane Meeks; brother, David (Kim) Meeks; sister, Melissa (John) Walker; four nieces, Mackenzie Meeks, Grayson (Austin) Crocker, Maleah (Sam) Evans and Lacey (Ethan) Womack and many other loving family members and friends and will be greatly missed by all that knew her.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, July 30, 2025, at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home from 11:00 am until 12:00 pm. There will be a Chapel service at the funeral home at noon with burial to follow at Jefferson Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Pinson.
