Karen Davies Franks, 79, went to be with the Lord on August 28, 2026. She was born on November 3, 1946, to Jim and Ann Davies. She married the love of her life, David Franks, on January 30, 1971, and they enjoyed 55 wonderful years together. They welcomed their daughter, Kellie, into their lives on June 28, 1978.

Karen lived with Parkinson’s Disease for 28 years, but she never let that limit her life. She enjoyed planning holiday events, entertaining friends and family, traveling, and watching her grandchildren play sports and perform on stage. She had many dear friends who will miss her caring concern and infectious smile.

Karen was preceded in death by her father, Jim Davies, and her mother, Ann Davies McFall. She is survived by her husband, David Franks, her daughter Kellie Stewart (Scott), her four grandchildren, Conner, Ann Allen, SJ, and Evie Stewart, her brothers Jimmy Davies (Xinia) and Jon Davies (Gina), and several nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Karen’s Life will be held at Briarwood Presbyterian Church in the Worship Center on September 4, 2026, at 1:00. The family welcomes anyone attending to dress comfortably.

In lieu of flowers, the family recommends memorials be made to The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research.
