Julius Speer

Julius W. Speer, born January 23, 1927 in Rockford, AL to Mr. and Mrs. John H. Speer passed away on April 24, 2009. Mr. Speer was an honorary church member at Raleigh Avenue Baptist Church. He served his country in the Korean War and retired from United Way in 1992. He was preceded in death by his parents, John H. Speer and Elma Speer and his three brothers, John D. Speer, Charles E. Speer, and Billy J. Speer. Survivors include his sister, Nell Barber of Alpharetta, GA and numerous nieces, nephews and other family members. Visitation will be held on Monday, April 26 beginning at 12:00 PM with graveside services to be held at 1:00 PM with Rev. Ed Spencer officiating in Jefferson Memorial Gardens East.
