Julia “Judy” Ann George, age 79, passed away on May 13, 2026. She was born on January 20, 1947 in Birmingham, Alabama. She was preceded in death by her parents John and Julia Jarrett. She is survived by her adoring husband, true love and best friend of nearly 57 years, Ronald S. George, daughters Stacie Sammons (Charlie) and Jennifer Burch (Allen), grandchildren Zachary Burch (Bailey), Julia Ann and Sarah Elizabeth Burch, brother, John Guy Jarrett and many more beloved family.
Known for her sweet disposition, servant’s heart and quick wit, she touched the lives of all she met. Judy was a master in the kitchen and loved to host gatherings for family and friends. She was an active member of Northpark Baptist Church and found joy in bringing a sweet treat to her Sunday School class or helping provide a delicious home-cooked meal to someone in need.
Judy’s smile and charm could light up a room. Known as “Juju” to her granddaughters, she was the perfect example of a loving grandmother. She loved her furbabies and was a dog mama to many sweet pups over the years. Above all, Judy was a loving, devoted and faithful wife to her sweetheart Ronald. Her absence leaves a huge void in our hearts but, we can rest easy knowing God’s promise that we will be reunited again in Heaven.
Pallbearers will be Allen Burch, Zachary Burch, Whitey Glanton, Pat Murphy, Charlie Sammons, and Scott Stearns.
