Judy D. Jolly

Ms. Jolly gained her wings to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, August 9, 2025. She attended Shades Valley and Woodlawn High School’s, as well as Houston Community College, when she worked for Harris County, TX. Ms. Jolly attended Mountain Top Community Church in Vestavia Hills.

She is survived by her daughters, Catherine Ruffin of Vestavia Hills, Terri Smith of Pell City, Donna Baker Kretzschmar (James) of Blountsville, and Paula Dobbs (Greg) of Pinson, six grandchildren, Robbie Smith, Tina Ashley (Eric), Maranda Knox (John), Chris Baker (Meagan), Joey Ruffin, Joshua Baker (Tabitha), 13 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.

She was preceded to Heaven by her parents, Mr. & Mrs. Nathaniel B. Jolly, her son, Dewey Ruffin III, her brothers, Paul, John, Bobby, David, Daniel and Geran, her sisters, Jeanette Turner-Boyd and Lilla Easter.

Robbie Smith, Chris Baker, Joshua Baker, Joey Ruffin, Lanny Jolly, Logan Swanson, Cody Smith, and John Knox will serve as Pallbearers.

As per her wishes, there will be a Private Graveside Service in Springville, AL. In lieu of flowers, you may donate to The American Heart Association, St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, or the charity of your choice.
