Judy Lane Hunter, age 77, passed away on April 15, 2026. Judy was born on January 19, 1949, in Fernbank, Alabama. She was preceded in death by her parents Oliver and Eddierene Sisson.
Judy is survived by her husband Carl Hunter; daughter, Tina Stovall; son, Chad Hunter; four grandchildren, Alexis (Tyler) Ragsdale, Brady Ragsdale, Tye Hunter, Ashton Hunter; three great-grandchildren, Raylan Hodnett, Audrey Hodnett, John Hodnett; two brothers, Vance (Judy) Sisson, Denver Sisson and several nieces and nephews and other loving family members and friends.
Judy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She selflessly devoted her life to raising her children and her grandchildren, that she loved so deeply. Judy was an avid Alabama football fan. It was often said that if you knew Judy, you knew she loved her grandchildren and Alabama football. Her hobbies included decorating for holidays, buying plants and flowers, shopping, and hanging out with friends at the Senior Citizen Center. Judy was known for loving The Lord and serving others any way she could. While she will be deeply missed by many, we rest assured knowing she is with our Lord and Savior.
As Judy would always say.."Thank you, Jesus!" And "Roll, Tide Roll!"
