REDD, JOYCE E.

September 24, 1928 to May 22, 2013.

"Who can find a virtuous woman? For her price is far above rubies. The heart of her husband doth safely trust in her,... She will do him good... all the days of her life." Prov.31:10-12. This is a wonderful description of our precious Mammaw. She did "good" for her entire family "all the days of her life." May we emulate her all the days of our lives; and meet her in Heaven with joy and thanksgiving."Joyce was in retail management with Hibbett's Sporting Goods for over twenty years. On retiring, she and Ronald lived in Panama City Beach, Florida, fulfilling a long-time dream. She is survived by her sisters, Gertrude Jones and Carolyn Ball. Children: H. Doug Redd (Judy), Rhonda Nugent (John), and Gary Redd. Grandchildren: Virginia Gurley, Ronald Winters Redd, II, Stephen Nugent (Kelly), Selissa Williams (Garrick), Mark Nugent, and Sheila Ellison (Courtney). Great-grandchildren: John, David, Sadie, Sophie, Rocco and Porter. She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, and close relatives. Joyce is preceded in death by her husband, Ronald, her father and mother, Jasper Roy and Belva Lockwood Evans, one sister, two brothers, and her grandson, Doug Redd, Jr.In lieu of flowers, kindly consider donations to her beloved Gulfview Methodist Church, 232 Rose Lane, Panama City Beach, Florida 32413.

Graveside services will be at Jefferson Memorial Gardens, Trussville, AL, Thursday, May 30, 2012, at 4:00 PM.
