John Mcmunn

John D. McMunn, 63 of Chelsea, passed away on December 21, 2011. John was a member of Oak Mountain Church of Christ. He was an active member of the Chelsea Citizen Observation Patrol and a lifetime member of the Trussville Fire Department. He retired from Alabama Air National Guard 117th ARW and was Scout Leader for Troop #915 Trussville. Survivors include his wife, Betty McMunn; daughter, Misty Delk (Jason) of Nolensville TN; son, Michael McMunn (Dana) of Trussville; grandsons, David John Delk and Thomas Ryan Delk both of Nolensville TN; mother, Drucilla Cornelius of Decatur; sister, Flossie Ann Gilmore of Montevallo; brothers, Benny McMunn of Deatsville, Stephen McMunn of Trussville and Stanley McMunn of Springville; niece, Jennifer King of Atlanta; nephews, Jedediah McMunn of Deatsville, Bryant Gilmore of Decatur and Amos Gilmore, Jr. of Calera. Visitation will be held on Friday, December 23 from 5:00 - 7:00 PM at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home. Chapel services will be held on Saturday, December 24 at 10:00 AM with burial in Jefferson Memorial Gardens East.
