age 82, of Prattville passed away on July 2, 2014. He served in the U.S. Navy in the Intelligence Field holding a Cryptographic clearance. He was a graduate of The University of Alabama. He retired from Alabama Power with 13 years of service as an accountant. He was a member of East Memorial Baptist Church in Prattville. John is preceded in death by his daughter, Susan Brown; and all his brothers and sisters. He is survived by his wife, Emma Lou "Jackie" Hand; sons, Don Hand and John Hand, Jr.; grandchildren, Tracy Hand, Brian Hand, and Shane Brown; great grandchildren, Emory Hand, Julian Hand, John Colton Hand, Annabelle Susan Brown and Bishop Allen Brown. Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 6, 2014 from 5-7pm at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home in Trussville. Services will be held on Monday, July 7, 2014 at 2:00pm at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Jefferson Memorial Gardens East. Jefferson Memorial Trussville directing.
