John Griffis

John Harmon Griffis, age 71 of Birmingham passed away on Friday, January 16, 2009. He was a self-employed cabinet maker for over 45 years and owner of A & G Woodworks. He was active with Army Reserves from 1961 - 1967. He is survived by his wife Linda Oden Griffis; their children, John Harmon Griffis II and his wife Sherry, and Jesse Lee Griffis; one sister, Maryalys Griffis; and one granddaughter, Jeanine Griffis. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 21 at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home beginning at 1PM with Memorial Services at 2PM with Steve Dewhirst officiating. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society. Jefferson Memorial Trussville directing.
