John Durden

J. Calvin Durden, 69, of Moody passed away on July 31, 2008. He was a member of Moody Lions Club; Alabama Sheriff's Boys Ranch, Pell City Campus and Southeastern Diabetes Education Services. He retired from Tractor and Equipment Co. after 42 years of service. Visitation will be held on Friday, August 8 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home. Chapel services will be held on Saturday August 9 at 2PM with burial in Jefferson Memorial Gardens East. Survivors include his wife, Eva M. Durden of Moody; three daughters, Kim Overbey (Jon) of Springville, Anita Durden and Kathy Cunningham both of Slidell, LA; and one son, Scott Durden (Melody)of Moody ,AL; one sister, Emily Smith of Pell City, AL and one brother, Carl Durden (Carolyn) of Pell City, AL; two grandchildren, Valerie Huver and Aaron Durden. In lieu of flowers make donations to the Alabama Sheriffs Ranch, St Clair Campus or the Southeastern Diabetes Education Services. Jefferson Memorial Trussville directing.
