Arley Dunn

John Arley Dunn, age 80, passed away on April 13, 2024. Arley was an avid University of Alabama football fan. He owned Dunn Building and Remodeling. He was always known to be a cut up. He loved to pick on his children and grandchildren. Mr. Dunn loved singing and was known all over Birmingham for his singing. He loved to sing Gospel, Rhythm and Blues and Country music. Arley was a member of Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Della and Jack Dunn; siblings, Byron Dunn, Thelma Gass, Cherry Cook, Norman Dunn, Junior Dunn and Vernon Dunn. Arley is survived by his loving wife Wanda S. Dunn; daughter, Melissa (Clayton) Rollins, Michelle Dunn; sons, Lonnie (Sondra) Dunn and Stephen Dunn; step-daughter, Karen (Ronnie) Kent; grandchildren, Shay (Johnny) Jackson, Adam Carmack, Hali Rollins, Blake Rollins, Madison, Dunn, Chloe Dunn, Riley Dunn and Chandler; great grandchildren, Nathan Mabry, Christian Jackson, Atticus Carmack, Brooklyn Carmack, Adalee Carmack, Greyson Watts, Elijah James, Noah King, Rowen King, Lila King, Judah McGinis, Malachi McGinis and Ociee King; sister-in-law, Inez Dunn.

Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM on Friday, April 19, 2024 at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home. The Chapel service will begin at 2:00 PM following the visitation with Bro. Gary Smith officiating.
