John Cole

John "Buddy" Branson Cole, Jr. age 70, beloved husband, father, Opa and brother, passed away March 1, 2009. He graduated from Phillips High School in 1956. He served in the U.S. Army in Korea and Germany where he met his wife Beate. He also served in the National Guard. In 1965, he joined the Birmingham Police Department and retired as a Sergeant in 1986. He was well known and loved in the Trussville Community. A memorial service will be held at Faith Lutheran Church on Friday March 6, at 2pm with Pastor Sandy Niiler officiating. Visitation will be from 5 until 7pm Thursday at the Church. He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Beate Cole, children Chris and his wife Debbie Cole, Stefanie and her husband David Phillips, sisters Kathleen O'Toole and Sandy Wilson, brother James A. Bryant, grandchildren David Lee Phillips, Jr., Joshua Phillips, Jacob Phillips, several nieces and nephews. Jefferson Memorial Trussville directing.
