John C. Price

John Castleman Price, age 92, of Remlap, AL went home to be with the Lord on May 12, 2026. He was born in Jefferson County, Alabama on February 27, 1934, to John & Ernesta Price. John grew up in Huffman and graduated from Hewitt Trussville High School in 1952. Soon after he married the love of his life, Marjorie (McDuffie) Price, and they were married 67 years before she passed in 2022. John was the owner of J.C. Price Masonry Co., Inc. since 1971 and a hard worker all his life. A simple sweet man who loved his family dearly. He was known for his love of adventure, his infectious humor, and his dedication to helping others.

John is survived by his two sons, Bill Price (Cam) and Jeff Price (Sabrina); his daughter, Patricia Lovell (Dan); grandson, J.R. Ledbetter (Jordan); three granddaughters, Meredith Brasfield (Charles), Kristin McPherson (Anthony), Maggie Burns (Jeff) and Melissa Hubauer (C.J.); ten great grandchildren, Cameron Kemp (McKenzie), Blakely Ledbetter, Liam Ledbetter, Blair Brasfield, Harrison Brasfield, Noah Burns, Price Burns, Sullivan Burns, Mary Clarke Hubauer and Amelia Hubauer; one great, great granddaughter, Mollie Rae Kemp.

The funeral for John will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 4, 2026 at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home in Trussville with visitation for friends and family from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Burial will immediately follow at Jefferson Memorial Gardens in Trussville. Pastor Cam Price will be presiding over the service.
