John Bates

John W. Bates, Jr., age 73, of Trussville, was born on May 1, 1941 and passed away on December 27, 2014. He was a Mason and a Shriner. He is survived by his brother, Donald G. Bates (Jill); his nephew, Jason Bates; niece, Jennifer Friden (Shawn); and great nephews, Braxton Bates, Connor Friden and Carson Friden. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at 10:00am at Jefferson Memorial Trussville. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Shriner's Children's Hospital.
