Joe Williamson

Joe James Williamson, age 85, passed away Thursday, February 7, 2013. He was a member of Huffman Baptist Church for 52 years, and has enjoyed participating in the Happy Hearts Choir for many years. Joe graduated from Berry High School, in Berry, Alabama, in 1946. He was a veteran of World War II, a purchasing agent for Birmingham Stove and Range, and was retired from Pine Crafters Furniture. Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Elizabeth Williamson, his siblings Rea, Aster, Loyd, Velma, and Irene. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Billie Jean Wheless Williamson, his son David (Wendy), grandchildren Jason and Kalie, and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Saturday, February 9, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Jefferson Memorial Gardens East. Visitation will be one hour prior to service. Jefferson Memorial in Trussville directing.
