Joan Nall R. Herren

With deep love and gratitude for a life so beautifully lived, we announce the passing of Joan Nall R. Herren, who entered her heavenly home on April 24, 2026, at the age of 89.

She was born on October 6, 1936, and lived a life marked by devotion to her family, strength, and a deep, steady love that shaped generations. She had a gift for making others feel seen, cherished, and at home—whether through time spent together, hands busy creating, or tending to the beauty of the world around her.

She is survived and deeply missed by her daughter, Kathy Garrison (John Garrison), and her son, Kirk Herren (Paige Herren); her beloved grandchildren, Destin Riggins (Brittany Riggins) and their daughter, Eva Kate Riggins; Carson Riggins (Kim Riggins) and their children, Rinli and River; Alyson Herren Hamilton (Seth Hamilton) and their children, Seth “SJ” and Mac; and Chloe Herren Morris (Jake Morris); as well as her brother, Layne Nall (Barbra Nall). Her legacy lives on in each of them.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Charles Radcliff, Jr. (1957), and her late husband, Edward Herren (1990); her parents, Lila and John Nall; and her siblings, Margaret Nall Murphy, Harold Nall, Juanita Nall Collins, Helen Nall Abernathy, and Mildred Nall Stokes.

Though our hearts grieve her absence, we find peace in knowing she is restored, whole, and celebrating in heaven—reunited with those who have gone before her.Those who knew her best carry forward her love, her strength, and the way she made each of them feel deeply cherished.
