Jimmy Forrest Tucker, Age 91 of Oneonta, Alabama, passed away peacefully on September 30, 2026. He was born on January 21, 1935, in Alabama City, Alabama.
Jimmy had many jobs throughout his life. He worked at Jazz Dog food in the laboratory as an analyst and quality control. He worked at Modern Signs in design and production before starting his own sign Business with his Wife Betty in 1978. They opened Jim's Signs in the basement at home. Eventually moving out into different locations in Pinson and making the last move to Main Street. In the 90's, during the time of Betty's mother had Alzheimer’s, Betty and Himself were asked to lead an Alzheimer's support group at Jefferson State Community College. Jimmy loved to paint pictures and draw. He also taught Sunday School for many years at 25th Avenue Baptist Church. And could always find him by following the bird whistling.
He is survived by Brothers and sister Hayden Tucker, Tommy Tucker, Emily Surrett; Daughter Anglea Holden -Christy Brechin, Angela Anderson, Stephanie Falkner; Daughter Kathy Hughes (Danny) - Neal Alford, Danielle Hughes; Son James Brown (Shannon) - Eli Brown, Casey Brown; other grandchildren; Todd Tucker, Tyler Tucker, Teia Bowman, Corey Tucker, Chris Glenn, Trey McDaniel and 11 Great Grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren
He in preceded in death by parents Father Clarence Dupree Tucker, Mother Lydia Black Tucker; Sisters Mary Frances Tucker, Mildred O'dell Tucker, Nancy Marie Tucker, Carolyn Unice Tucker, Eula Ann Tucker; Wife - Betty Tucker; son-Terry Tucker, daughter -Gwen Self, daughter-Debbie Mann
