Jimmy Owens

Jimmy Owens, of Calhoun, GA, formerly of Jefferson County, passed away Friday, Oct. 12, 2012 at the age of 66. He was retired from a career in meat sales. He was a US Army Veteran serving in Vietnam. Mr. Owens was preceded in death by his parents, Raybon and Inez Towns Owens; wife, Peggy Hardin Owens and granddaughter, Janet Borden. He is survived by his brother, Randy Owens; sister, Joy Owens Long (Bill); daughter, Judy Seale; grandson, Justin Seale; and fiance Sherry Johns of Calhoun, GA. Visitation will be held from 5-7 pm on Sunday, October 14, 2012 at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home in Trussville. A graveside service will take place Monday, October 15, 2012 at 11:00 am in Jefferson Memorial Gardens in Trussville. Jefferson Memorial Trussville directing.
