Sue was born at Presbyterian Hospital in Manhattan to Mariana and Evelio Arroyo.
Sue’s love for reading began as a child. Her favorite book as a child was a red fabric bound book King Arthur that she read so often she could recite whole phrases to her family.
Growing up she attended school in both New York and New Jersey where she was an avid Mets fan. She graduated high school at Highland High School in Highland New York where she was a softball player, a member of the track team, a cheerleader and once held a prominent role in the school play The Uninvited.
She attended college at both Marist College and Rutger’s University where she graduated with an English degree. She had a huge interest in Computer Science during her studies and she was able to successfully turn her passion into becoming a software engineer and project manager, eventually founding her own company, Trident Technologies in 2006.
Over the years she loved to quilt, creating beautiful family heirlooms. Prior to Covid she loved to travel and spent extensive time in Italy. Sue was also a very giving woman in her lifetime, assisting the Alzheimer's Association numerous times with their charitable events.
She is preceded in death by her father, Evelio Arroyo. Survivors include her daughters, Camryn and Cathryn Flowers; mother, Mariana Arroyo; sister, Evelyn (Daniel) Casotti; brother, David (Cristina) Arroyo; and nieces, Sydney and Ashley Casotti.
