It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Janice Ann McCullough, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, who left this world on May 6, 2025, just days shy of her 83rd birthday. Born on May 12, 1942, in Birmingham, Alabama, Janice was the cherished daughter of Tyler (Red) and Annabelle Robinson. Her journey through life was marked by unwavering love for her family and a zest for knowledge that touched everyone she met.
Janice grew up in Birmingham, Alabama. She married James (Jim) McCullough, who passed away in 2001, with whom she shared countless memories and experiences.
As a mother, she is survived by her son, Tyler McCullough, and her daughter-in-law, Sundi McCullough. Janice (Gran Jan) was also a proud grandmother to her grandson, Aiden, who brought her endless joy and pride. She adored him deeply and loved spending time making memories.
Jan was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jim, her mother Annabelle, her father Tyler (Red), and her sister, Bobbie McElhaney. Each of these individuals held a special place in her heart.
Jan's life was not only defined by her love for her family but also by her passion for adventure. She had a special affinity for traveling, with the beach being her favorite destination. The sound of waves, the warmth of the sun, and the beauty of the ocean brought her immense happiness. Whether it was exploring new places or simply enjoying the tranquility of the shore, Jan's love for travel enriched her life.
Jan's legacy is one of love, family, and cherished moments. Her kind spirit and warm heart touched the lives of everyone she encountered, but it was her sharp intellect and thoughtful insights that truly set her apart. With a brilliant mind and a curiosity that knew no bounds, Janice was always eager to learn and share her knowledge. She approached life’s challenges with wisdom and grace. Her love for life and adventure was matched only by her dedication to her family.
