Janice Harkins

Janice Ann Hall Harkins, 74 of Birmingham passed away on June 21, 2009. Mrs. Harkins was retired from Kermit Johnson School as a fifth grade school teacher and had served in the WAVES division in the US Navy. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert Harkins. Survivors include her daughter, Jennifer Von Bartheld (Adam) of Pelham; two sons, G. Brian Harkins (Sue) of Washington DC and Michael Harkins (Regina) of Andalusia; one sister, Becky Hall of Wetumpka; six grandchildren and one great granddaughter. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 24 from1:00 i�½" 2:00 PM at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home with chapel services beginning at 2:00 PM with Doyle Creel officiating. Burial to follow in Forest Crest Cemetery. Jefferson Memorial Trussville directing.
