Janet Waites

Mrs. Janet Waites, 87, of Pelham passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on August 25, 2021.
She was a faithful member of Faith Fellowship in Bessemer, where she led the choir, played the piano, and taught piano lessons to many people throughout the years.

Mrs. Waites is preceded in death by her husband Robert F. Waites, Sr. She is survived by her children Robin Vickers (John), Bob Waites Jr. (Debbie), Layne Blackburn (Mike), and Lori Thompson. She is also survived by her grandchildren Andrea Crawford (Mike), Jeremy Battles (Stephanie), Jennifer Wise (David), Heather Perkins (Drew), Nate Waites, Hannah Waites, Caleb Waites (Mish), Justin Blackburn (Cheryl), Carly Payne (Josh), Stevie Thompson, and Avery Thompson; along with 11 Great-Grandchildren, and 1 Great-Great-Grandchild.

A private family service will be held at Jefferson Memorial Gardens in Trussville.
