James Tidwell

James "Pete" Tidwell, age 91, of Hayden, AL, went home to be with the Lord on July 16, 2011. Mr. Tidwell retired from Jim Walters Corporation after 30 years of service; he then worked for 10 years at Molten, Allen and Williams Mortgage. He served our country and was a veteran of WWII; he served the Lord by leading choirs in several churches over the years. Mr. Tidwell left his family with many fond and happy memories. Mr. Tidwell was preceded in death by his wife, Lougene Tidwell; and by his sister, Clara Morgan. He is survived by his daughters, Shirley Hall and Jada Tidwell; granddaughter, Monica Carter; great-granddaughter, Micaela Carter; brother, Gene Tidwell and his wife, Carrie; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 19, 2011 at 2:00PM with burial in Jefferson Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 1:00PM - 2:00PM on Tuesday.
