James Sidney Hardin, 69, of Trussville, Alabama was called home on August 27, 2026.

Sidney stepped into eternal light and was embraced by the awaiting arms of his parents, Emmitt and Johnnie Sue Hardin. Also welcoming him home are his siblings, brothers, Roger Smith, Steve Hardin, Jeff Hardin, Nathan Hardin and sister, Deborah Hardin.

Sidney leaves behind cherished memories held closely by his wife of twenty-two years, Melissa McCrory Hardin: Daughters, Christie Fitch (Duncan), Jamie Hardin (Kit), and sons, Jesse Hardin (Bree), Garrett Hardin (Jenny) and Step-son, Leo Morris. Sidney's light will also continue to shine through in the lives of his beautiful grandchildren, Maddox Springer, Autumn Sparkman, and Jaxton Hardin and his sisters, Shannon Gillespie (Todd), Michelle Blake (Scott) and brother, Shane Hardin (Wendy); His memory is also remembered and cherished by a host of nieces and nephews.

Sidney will be greatly missed by his family and those who held him dear.
