James Padgett

James "Jim" M. Padgett, age 70, of Birmingham, AL passed away on Saturday evening, November 20, 2010. He was a member of Sun Valley Church of Christ. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran served in the Bay of Pigs, Cuban Missile Crisis. He is preceded in death by his brother, Clifton Padgett. Jim is survived by his wife, Alice Padgett; sons, Mike Padgett (Ellen) and David Padgett; daughters, Allison Swanson (Ken) and Jami Scott; brothers, Milton, Millard, Alton, and Carey Padgett; and a host of grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 24, 2010 from 10am until 12pm with a chapel service following at 12pm at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Jefferson Memorial Gardens East. Jefferson Memorial Trussville directing.
