James Tatum

December 31, 1945 — October 20, 2021

James Melvin Tatum, age 75, passed away on October 20, 2021. He was a member of Argo First Baptist Church. He was also a member of Center Point Masonic Lodge and a Zamora Shriner. James retired from  Drennen Cadillac (27 years) and Rozars Automotive Paint Supply (20 years). He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He loved his wife, kids, grandkids and great grand kids. He also loved spending time with his loving wife at the beach.

James was a very generous man with a playful side. He loved to joke around with everyone, tell old stories, and make funny faces when you try to take his picture.

James was preceded in death by his loving wife of 53 years, Mary Ellen Tatum, and his parents Luther Tatum and Faye Tatum Tidwell. He is survived by his Brother, Thomas Tatum (Shelba), and his Sister, Joy Burleson. 2 Sons David Tatum, and Keith Tatum( Leigh Ann), 5 Grand children, Jimmy Tatum, Kendell Tatum, Shelbi Tatum Vieau, Chelsea Tatum, and Grant Tatum, and 3 Great grand children, Stella, Lux, and Okilani.

A memorial service  for Mr. Tatum will be held on Tuesday, October 26th at 2:00 p.m. at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home with visitation starting one hour prior to services.
