James "Binnie" McVay

James Byron “Binnie” McVay, age 81, of Odenville, Alabama, passed away on July 22, 2023. He was born in Troy, Alabama on June 21, 1942. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Rebecca Kay (Kile) McVay, a sister, Carol Jean Rogers, and two brothers, Charles Ellis McVay and Sherrill Wayne McVay. He is also survived by his son, James Michael McVay (Terri), his daughter Kimberly Lane (McVay) Harris, four grandchildren, Stephanie Harris, Amanda McVay Smith (Sean), Jason Harris (Kaitlin), Morgan McVay Lancaster (John), five great-grandchildren Brayden Harris, Braxton Harris, Peyton Smith, Landon Harris, and Judson Lancaster, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and beloved friends. James retired at age 67 after working many years in the windshield repair business but remained active working after he retired. He enjoyed hunting, boating, fishing and being with his family. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 26, 2023, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM with a service immediately following at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home.
